Weekly Musings ~ Week 8

So, I've been on Slimming World for 8 weeks now and I feel like I know the score and have got into my routine with it all. However, I've found that this has also meant that I haven't been as 'on it' as I usually would be. Things like, not measuring things out carefully, potentially going over on syns with the odd extra and actually... while we're being totally honest... I had a three course Sunday lunch yesterday with finished with a peanut butter ice cream sundae! Soooo, yeah, there's that!

BUT!

It's the first of May and a brand to month for new challenges and fresh starts and I am feeling back in my zone and ready to face the scales and continue seeing those losses.

Weight Loss:

In April I lost 8lbs, which I'm really happy with and would like that again (if not more) for May. I'm trying to move more in May (and have even set myself up with the hashtag for that as well on my instagram to keep me motived).

Mental Health:

I have been feeling so much better recently. There are still moments or days where I teeter on the edge of depression and anxiety, but I know that I've come a long way! I've finished with my counselling now, which was a very emotional time saying goodbye, but I think that a few months down the line I will book a private session just to keep on top of things. I can see, from looking back, that I've been in such a bad place for a few years really and it's only now that I am starting to come out of that hole. So fingers crossed those good vibes continue.
